Our hospital offers both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation services. Elbert Memorial Hospital offers physical therapy, occupation therapy, and speech therapy to provide multidisciplinary patient-centered care. We see a variety of different diagnoses including, but not limited to, acute and chronic orthopedic and neurological disorders, wound care, post-surgical, and patients with a wide variety of medical problems who present with physical and mental debilitation.
The full-time members of the Rehabilitation Services Department staff at Elbert Memorial Hospital include Brooke Edwards, PT, DPT; Danielle Pritchett, MS, OTR/L; Brandy Lovelace, PTA; and Tangelia Blackmon, Secretary/Rehab aide. We also have PRN speech therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapy assistants who help our patient’s achieve their goals.
Our therapy department takes great pride in providing the best possible care to each patient. We work together as an interdisciplinary team in order to help patient’s achieve their personal goals. We see a wide variety of patients, including those with orthopedic surgeries such as hip and knee replacements, rotator cuff repairs, ACL/meniscus repairs, and carpal tunnel surgery; neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, stroke, traumatic brain injuries, and Multiple Sclerosis; chronic pain symptoms of the neck, back and disorders such as fibromyalgia; management of wounds and burns; common musculoskeletal disorders including ankle sprains, tendonitis, and conservative care; as well as others not listed.
